- Packing Cubes
Packing cubes are a game-changer for organization. They help you separate clothing types, keep your suitcase neat, and maximize packing space. You can use different cubes for outfits, accessories, or dirty laundry. Once you start using them, you’ll wonder how you ever traveled without them. I’m a huge fan of these packing cubes since they also come with a laundry bag and shoe bag!

2. 1oz Travel Containers:

These small travel containers are essential for carrying liquids, gels, and lotions in TSA-approved quantities. Often times, the 3oz containers are too large depending on how long you will be traveling for, and many of the European airports are super strict about fitting everything into a 1 quart bag. While I still have some 3oz containers, I mostly use 1oz to avoid bulky bottles and save space, especially since hotels will often have a lot of what I need upon arrival.
3. Mini Perfume Atomizers:
Similar to the 1oz travel containers, a mini perfume atomizer is a great way to bring your favorite perfume on a trip without worrying about the size. Simply add the number of pumps of spray you typically use for the duration of your trip, and you have a pocket size spray that also saves packing space!

4. Travelan:

Travelan is a preventative measure to avoid travelers’ diarrhea. Taking it before meals can help you maintain a healthy gut, especially when trying new foods or exploring regions with different hygiene standards. We took it before every meal in Bali and never got sick so it’s definitely a travel must have for us!
5. Travel Backpack:
I love this 40L travel backpack since it has so many pockets, a padded laptop compartment, hidden passport compartment, water bottle holder, dry wet separation bag, and more. Measuring 18x14x8 inches, this backpack meets most International Air Transport Association (IATA) size guidelines. It fits easily in overhead compartments or under seats on airlines like Spirit, Frontier, Easy Jet, and Jet Blue. It also comes with 2 carry-on storage pockets and 1 shoe pocket to keep small items and shoes organized.

6. Money Belt:

If you’re worried about pickpockets, a money belt adds a layer of security for your passport, cash, and cards, especially when traveling in crowded areas or using public transport. Wear it discreetly under your clothes to reduce the risk of pickpocketing. I have used mine when traveling solo!
7. Earplugs:
It’s already hard enough to sleep on planes, add in snoring passengers, crying babies, and general plane noise and it can seem downright impossible! Bringing a pair of earplugs can help dampen the outside noise so you can feel rested when you arrive.

8. International Travel Adapter:

This travel adapter covers multiple regions and has both USB and traditional plug outlets. A universal adapter is definitely a travel must have for international travel, and I have taken mine with me on every trip I’ve been on in the past few years.
9. Portable Charger:
A portable charger keeps your devices powered on the go, especially during long travel days or in areas without reliable outlets. A high-capacity charger is a lifesaver for your phone, camera, or tablet, ensuring you can stay connected and capture every moment.

10. Mosquito Bracelets:

In tropical or mosquito-prone areas, mosquito bracelets are a convenient way to protect yourself from bites. They’re DEET-free and last for days, making them ideal for hikes, beaches, and nature excursions.
11. Mini fan:
If you’re heading somewhere hot, a mini fan is a lifesaver. Look for a rechargeable, foldable fan that you can easily carry in your bag. It’s a travel must have for humid environments, crowded cities, or even while waiting in line at popular attractions.

12. Foldable travel toothbrushes:

Foldable toothbrushes are great for hygiene and convenience. They’re compact, easy to carry, and allow you to freshen up on flights, layovers, or after a long travel day without taking up much space in your bag.
13. Apple Airtags:
For peace of mind, attach an Apple Airtag to your luggage or valuable items. If your bags get lost, you can track their location easily through the Find My app, giving you added security and less worry about misplaced belongings.

14. Portable Door Lock:

Safety first! A portable door lock adds an extra layer of security, especially if you’re staying in a budget hotel or unfamiliar accommodation. It’s a compact tool that prevents entry, helping you sleep soundly wherever you are.
15. Headphone Wireless Transmitter:
This little gadget allows you to connect wireless headphones (like Airpods) to devices without Bluetooth, like airplane TVs. Simply plug it into the headphone jack, pair your wireless earbuds, and enjoy your entertainment without wires.

Honorable Mention:
Belt Bag: The belt bag, or fanny pack, is back in style! Perfect for easy access to essentials like your phone, wallet, or lip balm, it keeps your hands free and adds a stylish touch to your travel outfit. My belt bag has been with me on many trips and has held up great!
